I truly believe in ‘life-long’ learning and practicing what I inherently believe is the right thing to do, when it comes to my client’s health and wellbeing. We must all endeavour to make a conscience effort to educate ourselves, when it comes to ‘practicing what we preach’ all the time.
In September 2017, I enrolled on a continuing professional education Reflexology course, with a Danish company called ‘Touchpoint’. Prior to this I did some research, quickly realising that they were the best people worldwide to further enhance my Reflexology skills and knowledge.
The month of June finally came along and I was super excited to attend my weekend course in London with Touchpoint. Touchpoint was set up in Denmark and founded by Dorthe Krogsgaard and Peter Lund Frandsen to provide lectures, seminars and continuing professional development for experienced reflexologists.
This two day ‘intensive’ course opened my mind up, even further, to different modalities of healing using reflexology. It enabled me to acquire some new cutting edge knowledge, and practices, within my field of reflexology.
During the weekend, I particularly loved the consistency of standards set by both Peter and Dorthe. The standards set by both educators were high, meaning that neither were afraid to challenge any of us participants in the process of our learning, throughout the entire course.
The education provided was in-depth and included a lot of ‘hands on’ practical. The balance of theory and practical really helped us to fully understand the key concepts and new skills being relayed to us. I learnt many new techniques and concepts, as add-ons, to the basic reflexology being educated to us Reflexologists in the U.K. I will endeavour to continue my future education with this Danish company, Touchpoint, as I firmly believe that they are at the forefront of education for Reflexology.
I truly believe that being open to knowledge and a desire to always improve will make you an expert in your field. I thoroughly suggest, given my years of educational experiences, that ‘Touchpoint’ is your ‘go to’ place for any reflexology learning or any future continued professional development.
